If your double edge blade can be broke in half then it could work. I bought a pack of 100 blades for 5 bucks for this razor and depending on how course your hair is you can easily get 2 shaves per blade. **Q: Because the handle is wood (porous), I'm assuming I cannot use this razor on multiple clients in a barbershop because of sanitation issues?** A: No you definitely can, the shop I work at everyone’s straight razor has a wood handle.
