I had it sitting at 500 ft recording the most amazing storm and well-lit moon for about 5 minutes. Just as I was about to bring it down I heard the motors stop. It took me a second to realize it was in a free fall. I looked at my screen to see a disconnection message and backed up a few feet because it was falling fast and I had no idea where it was. As it got to about 100 ft the drone tried to come back on and I heard the motor sounds for a split second before it hit a powerline and then the road. I could see only white plastic exploding from the crash point outward into the yard. Thank goodness I live far away from others or the crash could've been devastating. I'm out of a drone and still paying for these batteries, but I'm thankful no one got hurt. I do implore other unmanned aircraft pilots to STAY AWAY from these batteries.
