This is a very light paddle with a good grip. It has a superb sweet spot. When hit in the sweet spot, the ball flies quickly and long. Because it is light, you don't get a great deal of power behind your swings. But if that is what you want , buy a heavier paddle. This is a great paddle to learn on so you don't tire quickly, and you can more easily get back into offensive position. The top part of the paddle takes some getting used to for dinking. My dinks were coming up short in my first games. This is not a paddle "problem." It is just the nature of this paddle that users need to get used to.
