Yes, the vehicles are painted on both sides. They go great with our Round the Town Road Rug and any of our train tracks! I hope this information is helpful. We use them with this Amazon town carpet: IVI Thick 3D Childrens Play Mat & Rug in A Colorful Town Design for Kids with Soccer Field, Car Park & Roads, Blue, 32 x 45 inches I do not know if these work on a train track. **Q: Are they dishwasher safe?** A: I don’t think so only bc I believe the paint would begin to fade and it might compromise the wood. But they are easy to wipe with a dishcloth and water or a disinfectant wipe. My 20 month old grandson loves these.
