As a bit of a novice whisky drinker, I’m just really starting out with bourbon at the moment but this is lovely and smooth. As other reviewers have said - savour the taste with this as I’ve already tanned most of the bottle ! Bottle design is nice too and seems cheaper than high street supermarkets as well - will be keeping the bottle for a nice light or something ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Take your time, and savour the taste! *by S***E on 30 September 2020* You know, I could get all snooty about describing this delectable bourbon, sourced from our friends across the pond. I could sit here in my wing-backed ox-blood leather armchair, whilst sporting my favourite silk smoking jacket, and describe in minute detail the attributes of this fine drink from Kentucky. I could hold a glass of it aloft to allow the illumination from my impressive chandelier to highlight the glorious golden liquid residing tantalisingly within my crystal glass whisky tumbler. And I could then take a gentle sip of this Bulleit Bourbon, which has been referred to by some as like amber nectar from the gods. I'd exclaim that I initially got that good old spicy kick of rye, which was followed by rich, warming notes of cinnamon, nutmeg and clove, and maybe even crème brûlée topped with Demerara sugar - closely followed by hints of vanilla, apricot, sweet red grape and just a suggestion of almond....But eh, I ain't going to do any of the fancy nonsense above, because at heart I'm just an ordinary bloke who happens to appreciate the taste and quality of excellent bourbon - and Bulleit is by far my favourite. For me, drinking it is one of life's simple pleasures.It's worth noting that this special 'limited edition' Bulliet, with the 'Tattoo' design on the bottle contains exactly the same bourbon as the standard bottle. On this occasion, I only actually bought this because it's a 60th birthday present for my brother, who also happens to like his bourbon. He has tasted (and been impressed) by Bulliet before, so I know I'm on safe ground with this choice - isn't it nice when you know in advance that a gift is going to be VERY MUCH appreciated! Anyway, I thought paying a few extra quid for the impressive artwork on the bottle would just make my present that extra bit special - hopefully, he'll allow me to share a drink or two of this with him...I'm certainly no connoisseur when it comes to drinking bourbon. However, I do have a rule of NEVER putting ice cubes in these drinks - they'll only melt and end up diluting that magnificent flavour. Instead, if you really want to drink it cold, drop in two or three quality whiskey stones - I favour the stainless steel cubes, which not only look good, but do a great job of keeping your drink chilled.In closing, I would just like to add that my bottle reassuringly arrived safely protected within a sturdy, double-skinned cardboard box. Many thanks for taking time out to read my review & cheers! ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Nice Bottle *by E***N on 21 December 2018* Not opened this yet but as far as i know its the bottle thats different not the contents so i assume the whiskey its self will be as enjoyable as a standard bottle of Bulleit. The bottle really sells its self as something special forcing the eye to look deep into the bottle to search out the intricate detail of the artists design (Jess Mascetti). Its nice to see its not a sticker providing the artwork on the back but what seems to be a durable transfer so theres an air of quality to it which i personally like.
