    This will not get your pizza/bread crust nice and browned (despite >1hr preheating)

I bake a lot of bread and pizza at home. For anyone who bakes, they will know that the maximum temperature your oven can muster is preferable for both of those things, so that the crust can brown properly.Sadly, you won't achieve any sort of browning using this stone. After over one hour of preheating the stone on gas mark 9 of my oven, and then baking my bread on this stone for 40 minutes, the bottom was indeed cooked but it was a sad and pale beige colour, and not crisp at all. The same happened with my pizzas. My guess is that the stone is too thin to retain enough heat for that level of colour, or that it is made of material that doesn't conduct heat very well.It will do a job, but not a good one. Very disappointed.

Nice Stone but remember to heat the stone same time as you heat up your oven, don't place in hot oven cold as slap will crack, nice quality, easy to care for
