I have had dash cams before so I kind of expected this to work out of the box. I just use an 8gb sd card with my dash cams and I just browsed through the user manual which was in the box already, nothing special to do, just insert the sd card and press a couple of buttons, you can check out all the options but this is something you have to setup once and then forget it. (hopefully) Very decent LCD screen and the suction cup hold the camera very well too. I think what you will like the most is the 170deg wide range angle.
