Similar to linseed oil, Boiled Linseed Oil is a superior quality oil that has been treated with hot air so it dries quicker forming a tough, hard wearing and slightly glossy finish. Suitable for use on almost all wooden surfaces, terracotta tiles and all porous stone, the oil penetrates and seals the surface providing protection for interior and exterior surfaces. Our Boiled Linseed oil is completely safe to use on all types of wood, apart from exterior items made from oak.

**Q: Is this a food grade wood finish?**
A: No it is not, it contains metallic drying agents. Food grade mineral oil is likely your best option.

**Q: Can I use on my new acacia wood patio furniture? Do I need to sand if it’s new?**
A: It really depends on the furniture you bought. Usually finished furnitures have a finish coating on them or are already oiled. I would suggest you to sand them before application.

Remember that furnitures previously oiled might not look good if you re-oil them with a different type of oil than the one previously applied to them.

**Q: This could be used on outdoor windchimes to protect them?**

**Q: can this product be used on the plastic of atv's to restore shine?  I was told it could.**

Thank you for your inquiry regarding our Boiled Linseed Oil which is a product used to seal and protect all types of wood (except exterior oak), table tops and food preparation surfaces, cricket bats, snooker cues & musical instruments, front doors & outside furniture, terracotta tiles, concrete and other stone items. Unfortunately our Boiled Linseed Oil was not made to work with plastics.
