Organic, Sprouted Brown Rice Flour, Non-GMO, Bio-Available with a Great Taste (24 oz) - Pack of 2

I decided to try this since it was a cheaper than the brand that I usually buy. It worked fine in the bread that I made, but it's definitely a coarser grind than the PurLiving brand. For foods that don't need as fine of a flour, it would work well, but overall I prefer the finer grind of PurLiving.

I used this to mix with other flour for gluten free bread. It worked well.

Recently purchased this brand (usually use One Degree Organic) trying to save money. Immediately upon opening the package, I noticed something different. There is a smell I cannot place my finger on. I have not had any other flours with this smell. Concerned, I read through all the ingredients just to be sure it did not contain any other ingredient. (I am hypersensitive to certain ingredients) It does not list any. Also, it is grainy, but expected that. I proceed to make waffles (which I make just about every day since this recipe is one of my few that accommodate a very restrictive diet) and the smell somewhat subsided but was still lingering. I still cannot place my finger on it. I purchase sprouted because it is easier on the digestive system, but after using this flour (again, I am ingredient hypersensitive so I document everything that goes into my cooking--this is the only ingredient that was different) I ended up with indigestion.

This flour is perfect for some of my healthier baking recipes. My banana muffins with this flour are healthy and delicious.

Grainy

Good product, but be aware that it is not superfine. So much easier to digest the sprouted flour!

There is a strange after taste with this flour it has ruined two recipes I can't stomach it. Throwing the other bag and rest of the first away.

I normally enjoy this product for GF baking. The last two times I've ordered this product however, I've received baby cereal by mistake. Highly frustrating to not get correct item.
