We live in Southern California so the only way she sees real snow is if we visit the mountains. This was great-- it's the same temperature as the water you use to "puff" up the snow... so it's not like your kids need to wear gloves, etc. We used it outside and we left some of the product on the grass-- definitely don't do this because it will continue to retain water! The instructions definitely say you need to clean it all up and throw it in the trash, not the sink, etc... so definitely do that. One of our bags had a hole I think because there was white powder all over each bag and to get the directions out, you have to open the bag and I ended up making a bit of a mess in my kitchen.
