Review: Well made and strong product. I didn't fall once ! - Very happy with fit and performance. Goes on my boots well, and stays on! We've had others fall off and never to be found. These are heavy duty and very well constructed. I fall A LOT in the winter. Seriously, I'm very good at it. But these have kept me upright all winter. I've had the chain ones, and they are good for general use, but these dig in and were great walking across a glass like frozen lake in ice fishing season. The rubber is good, and strong also. Review: Excellent traction on ice - I live in Northern Michigan and have used the mini cleat style ,which the cleats eventually fall off and also use the yak Trax style with the coiled wire which usually works pretty good. Anyways,we had a lot of snow and then it warned up ,melted and was followed up by rain and then refroze. My Yak Trax just slid on the ice below the snow and I wanted something more durable than the previous mini spike cleats ,so I decided to give these a try while snowblowing my driveway. These worked impressively well and definitely dug into the ice below the snow allowing me to not slip or slide at all. I have balance issues so even a slight slip can cause me issues such as my yaktrax in this scenario. These are made with a nice thick durable rubber with the spikes attached to a chain vs a rubber backing found on the mini spikes I would usually buy once or twice a year as the spikes would eventually detach. A prior review I read on these said they had mini spikes but that is not the case and I included pics with this review. As I said above,after a lot of snow followed by the melting and rain and refreezing,my long driveway and private road was literally a solid sheet of thick ice under new snow and these gave me excellent traction with no slipping at all. These exceeded my expectations in not only the grip but in the build quality. Heavy rubber and solid chains and spikes make me believe these are going to last me quite awhile. I would recommend putting these on your boots/footwear before you put them on your feet as they do need a little tug to get them on due to solid rubber compared to the cheaper and thinner mini spike ones. They also include straps to hold both sides of the crampons over the top of the foot to further secure them although I did not use those and they stayed on just fine. It also includes a storage bag to put them in which is appreciated as these are solid and beefy crampons,so it's nice to have them stored in a bag due to their size with the chains and larger spikes. They gave me a lot of confidence and I am definitely glad that I paid the few dollars more because these are definitely worth it. If you spend time outdoors on heavy snow and especially Ice,I would recommend these. A well deserved 5 stars in my opinion.

**Q: How am I supposed to choose a crampon size without any information about what shoe sizes it fits?**
A: The shoe size only tells you what size foot it is supposed to fit. Different boots that are both size 11 could be completely different sizes on the outside depending on what kind they are and how they are made. You have to get a ruler, measure and use the size chart.

**Q: I am a city mail carrier and walk through lots of deep snow as well as ice.  How well do they hold up tromping through snow?**
A: My husband bought two pair, I use mine more and I think they are great. I had major back surgery in March and worry about falling. These cleats are fabulous and they are comfortable to wear, I thought I'd feel bumps etc but the walk is pretty smooth. I have not used in deep snow but feel they would be fine. I leave them on my boots, ready to go. The cleats are sharp, be careful. I live in the country, lots of snow and icy roads where I walk my dog. Hope this helps.

**Q: Will they come with any adjustable strap?**
A: Velcro strap across the instep.

A: Sorry to hear your experience.  This product is not useful for much use as the metal used for linking chains is cheap and breaks.  You can use zip ties for an emergency fix or electrical wire for a longer term fix.  However, if you need cleats for winter hiking, a better quality product, such as Katoola cleats is needed.

Very happy with fit and performance. Goes on my boots well, and stays on! We've had others fall off and never to be found. These are heavy duty and very well constructed. I fall A LOT in the winter. Seriously, I'm very good at it. But these have kept me upright all winter. I recently picked up the Cimkiz Crampons Ice Cleats Traction Snow Grips for winter walking and I’ve been really impressed with how well they perform on icy sidewalks and snowy trails. The traction is excellent — the metal spikes grip ice and packed snow confidently, and I felt much more secure walking around without slipping. Whether I was heading to the store or walking my dog, I noticed a big difference compared to regular boots or shoes alone. I also like the stretchy rubber harness. It’s easy to slip them on and off over different shoes or boots, and they stay snug without slipping down while you walk. The elastic feels durable and hasn’t lost shape after several uses. These traction cleats fit comfortably under shoes and don’t feel bulky, so you can still walk naturally. The spikes don’t poke through, and the whole setup feels solid even after extended wear. They’re also really easy to store when you don’t need them. One thing to keep in mind is that they’re best for icy pavement and packed snow — they’re not designed for serious mountaineering or very uneven terrain. But for everyday winter use, they do exactly what you’d want.
