This is because they are larger than I was used to and also they are very lightweight. Actually, this has been a godsend. They hold a good amount of condiment and the adjustment setting means you can have it as coarse or as fine as you wish. They are easy to clean. Having the light beam whilst using is an added bonus as you can see exactly how much is being added. The one-handed operation is ideal for people with arthritis and also for adding seasoning during preparing or cooking whilst stirring at the same time. There are plenty of colour options to suit all tastes.
