My monster power device sees a significant drop in voltage when it is first turned on but it balances back out after a short while. The factory settings as they are preset; lacks sensitivity as in. You seem to get low volume per watt out of the box however, you can tweak this on the back panel with a small non-conductive tool. The sound reproduction is very accurate and clear. It has good mids and average low end. This amp is great for full-range systems that are stationary or a well built professional amp rack with wheels. It is much too heavy to be carrying around without one. If you are going to be moving this amplifier a lot I recommend purchasing the warranty anything this thing hit is going to either damage the unit or whatever it hits. Not recommended for beginners; it's too much of an investment to experiment with. Overall it has the power to be worth the investment.
