I ended up using a large low speed 1/2" drill to go through wood. I went through a 2x12 & 3/4" OSB and the second it touched the wood, it just really dug in, so you have to go really slow and not apply very much pressure or it will bind. Seems like maybe the teeth are too big / too sharp? I only had a couple of holes to do, so I did not want to spend an arm and a let for a high end hole saw. It fit my standard arbor, but did not thread into that very smoothly or as well as many of my other hole saws. I used CutSpan oil to lubricate the hole saw and my cordless drill. It cut two clean holes through my steel computer case no problem.
