## Questions & Answers

**Q: I need to know if this product comes with it's charger and batteries and if it has the origional warranty provided?**
A: Yes, it does. The batteries are internal lithium and not externally rechargeable but it does come with a two-pronged AC charger for charging both the collar and the handset at the same time. Mine arrived in original packaging with warranty cards, etc..., included.

**Q: Is this collar submersible**
A: I am not sure if it is submersible. My dog has been in the water with one though and as long as the dust plugs are pushed closed it should be good for about a foot or so. They are water resistant thats for sure. Be careful these can hurt your dog badly. These are VERY powerful and professional training aids. My dogs went through professional training for several thousand dollars and I took classes with them as well on dog handling and one course was how to properly use these collars. These things can literally cause damage to your dog. I SINCERELY wished that Amazon forbid the selling of these to dog owners without proper training first. Thus be-careful please.

**Q: Does this product comes with Carrying case?**
A: Mine has one. I believe it does. It also comes with charger and lanyard for hand remote. If I were to get another I would without question. These are amazing.

**Q: Aside from the range, how does this brand and model compare to Lobo Commander's more affordable remote shock/vibrate/tone collar?**
A: I'm not familiar with that brand. The Dogtra is waterproof and shock resistent. I use mine on a German Shepherd working dog, he is young and had a few bad habits. He is intelligent and responded quickly, you may have noticed I said HAD
This collar was recommended by the kennel where I purchased my dog. It costs a little more but if your dog goes through rigorous training worth the extra money

## Customer Reviews

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ that was sturdy (withstand tumbles and horseplay)
*by S***T on November 22, 2014*

I purchased this to replace a cheap e-collar that didn't work properly from the start. Consistency is key when training a dog, especially with a bulldog which can tend to be stubborn.I was looking for an e-collar that was very reliable (that responded every single time I pressed a button and not once every 3-4 times), that was sturdy (withstand tumbles and horseplay), waterproof (snow), didn't take long to charge (who wants to wait 12-14 hours?), had a lot of levels (to adjust to my dog's needs), had a long range. We got everything in this collar and more. The remote feels a bit heavier than what I've used before, it's definitely built to a higher standard than others and it fits great in my hand (I'm Steve's wife). Same with the collar - the collar itself is very thick plastic, seems almost indestructible which is awesome. It's long and has plenty of holes to adjust to for perfect fit. The receiver on the collar it just as well built as the remote. It can be turned off by touching a red dot on the receiver to a red dot on the remote (thanks to a magnet behind the red dots) so there's no risk of an accidental off while running around in the field. It takes only 2 hours to charge from a complete drain and both the remote and the receiver can be charged at the same time. Haven't had the chance to test battery life yet, but after 24 hours, the battery still shows as full on the remote and the light is still flashing green on the collar indicating a full charge. The wide range of levels allowed us to determine exactly where we need to be to correct our dog without being over-correcting : 45 is our base level to get her to pay attention, and 70 when she's super excited and into her "intense focus" mindset. The dial to adjust the intensity level also has a bit of resistance to it, so there's less of a chance it will change on its own in our pocket for example. So far, we're very pleased with this collar. The only Con that I would have would be that it doesn't have a Tone feature, which my dog responded well to with the cheaper collar we had before. Oftentimes we'd be able to pinpoint what she was planning on doing before she started and could "tone" her into not doing it. Vibration is what we use now, but I still would've preferred a Tone feature on it.Pros:- Very reliable (collar is triggered every time a button is pressed)- Solid build (enough to withstand dings, bumps, tumbles and horseplay)- Collar has plenty of holes to adjust to a perfect fit- Waterproof- Fast charging- Can charge both the remote and the collar simultaneously- Battery life seems quite long- Plenty of levels to adjust to your dog's needs- Long range- Very sturdy collar- Battery life indicator on both the remote and the handset- Dial to adjust intensity has some resistance to it to avoid accidentally changing the levelCon:- No tone featureWhen it comes to training, go with something that is reliable - it'll make training a LOT easier for both you and your dog. This will get the job done. It's pricey, but well worth it.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Game Changer!
*by J***A on February 1, 2021*

I live in a rural area with widelife (deer, squirrels, rabbits, etc.) all around. My dogs would chase and be gone for long periods of time. Since purchasing this product, I've been able to use verbal corrections and stimulus corrections with this device and keep my dogs from chasing. They've learned very quickly and it's been a game changer for me and my dogs. No more worries about them chasing wildlife or being hit by vehicles. Just seeing the remote in my hand, they automatically know their boundaries. Great product!

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ dogtra collar
*by B***6 on April 29, 2011*

I have a 5 month old German Sheperherd (Ruger) who is in constant training. I have had him since he was 2 months old. At four months I decided that Ruger needed more intense training from a different angle. I have done numerous research on K-9 training and found the professional trainers use shock collars. I was against the idea, however after seeing the result from other dog owners i decided to research the best brand. To my conclusion, Dogtra was a reputable company for durability and reliability. The Dogtra that i purchased was not the most expensive but it was not cheap either. The features that i was looking for were, rechargeable, wheather proof, durability, range, and variety of levels of shock. For the most part, the reviews on the Dogtra were all 5 stars. I found the cheapest and most reliable seller and tried my luck. After a month of training, my GSD is learning faster than ever and i get keep my voice. I figured dog trainer's cost just as much as the Dogtra. I research dog training techniques on the internet/youtube and utilize the Dogtra to train Ruger. So far, so good. I am a happy customer and i have recommended this tool to many dog owners at the dog park.
