It is lightweight and as the marketing says almost completely kink-proof. I like the smaller diameter hoses like this one as they are much easier to handle in a yard full of obstacles like mine. I have found that 3/4" hose is almost always overkill, just wastes water and are a lot heavier to drag around. I use this hose every day in summer and I have yet to be disappointed by it.I am surprised at the current price however - I paid half this amount back in January. You might want to wait until winter to buy this at the best price.UPDATE: Mon, Jun 16, 2014 This is still a great hose. It stays outside all year here in Austin, TX, USA and is holding up fine. I have no complaints.UPDATE: This hose began to show signs of deterioration in 2016. Brown sticky deposits formed on the outside of the hose and made it a real pain to use. It would stick to your hand and was hard to remove from your skin. I contacted Gardena and they agreed to replace it under warranty. I had to pay for shipping, but I like their products so there you have it. The new hose is a different model as this line was discontinued. Light weight and tough, innovative design. The best thing about this hose is that you can adjust the length in a snap. Just remove the end connector, cut the hose to the desired length, then reconnect the end connector. I turned a 100 foot hose into several smaller hoses for convenience. I will never buy another hose.
