Grundfos 10SQ07-240 3" Submersible Water Well Pump 10GPM 3/4HP 200-240V 1-1/4" Discharge Material #: 96160142 Overview The Grundfos SQ 3" submersible pumps offer a wide performance range, making it easy to find a model that will suit your individual requirements. The SQ is a compact, 3" multistage centrifugal pump that can be installed in a borehole no larger than the pump itself. With their built-in electronics, SQ pumps are very easy to install and operate. They guarantee a reliable water supply at all times. Equipped with permanent magnet motors, these flexible and compact pumps offer excellent efficiency levels and will supply pump heads up to 200 m. If the SQ pump is connected to the Grundfos CU 301 control box, it enables the creation of a constant pressure water supply. Applications SQ/SQE pumps are suitable for both continuous and intermittent operation for a variety of applications: Ground water supply – private housing, small waterworks, small irrigation systems Liquid transfer in tanks Pressure boosting Environmental applications – remedial pumping or sampling Garages and petrol stations. Review: Feels like the whole house got an upgrade - Put this pump in at 170 feet with the CU301 transducer and it’s been rock solid. Water pressure is night and day compared to a Square D setup. Showers stay strong and steady with no ups and downs, and it feels like every faucet in the house got upgraded. You can run a smaller tank since it’s variable speed, but once you add the CU301 the cost savings are pretty much a wash. Still, the performance makes it worth it. Tips if you’re doing it yourself: - Don’t run water through the house until you’ve flushed the sediment. I set up a filter bypass and ran the sprinklers for a few hours. - Sanitize the well after pulling in a new pump and pipe. I used the CDC bleach method. - Never mix metals. The "pro" who installed the last system had a brass pitless adapter plate with a galvanized steel barb and it almost left me SOL. I was lucky I could clean it up and reuse it. All said, it was a fun weekend project and now I’ve got a system I know will run for decades.
