(Never had a wig)** A: This wig is in 3 pieces. the main wig is long hair with bangs with 2 clip on ponytail extensions for each side. it would be hard to put the long hair into one ponytail, especially 1 high ponytail. Its a lot of hair. **Q: How do you put the clip on ponytail pieces in without the clamps showing?** A: I put my hair into pigtails that start where the clips will go. That will give the clips something to grab on to. Once the clips are in, the bumps that show on the main wig disappear. Also, doing the clips like this, will help a quite a bit so the claws to not show. For added fun when I wear one of the 5 cosplay wigs like these, I tie a 2” wide by 18” long satin ribbon to each ponytail. The ribbons match the color of the outfit I plan to wear. My naturally kinky/curly, dark brown hair looks good when I detangle and condition it. But, it takes about an hour to do that. If I don't do that, my hair looks like a rat's next hahaha. Also, with the sort of hair I have, it is hard to change the texture and color of it, so I can't easily change my hairstyle. So, I buy a variety of wigs so that when I am in a hurry I don't have to spend an hour on my hair, but if looks like I did hahaha.This wig has enough room to fit all of my hair under it. But, if my hair was shorter, or my head was smaller, there is a way to make it tighter. It also has plenty of holes in the cap so that bobby pins can hold it in place, and your scalp can breathe.The bangs on this wig are a good length, just right above your eyebrows. The ponytail give this wig volume, and makes it sassy. The black and royal blue colors of this wig are vibrant with out being too over the top.Every time I wear this wig I get tons of compliments. People assume it is my real hair, but they think I dyed and curled it with a curling iron, until I tell them it is a wig.The only down side of this wig is that it gets tangled and fly away relatively easily. I spay wig sheen on it, which helps me detangle it. It doesn't detangle very well or very easily. However, this wig is as comfortable, and looks as good as, wigs that cost me approximately $65 to buy. So, although it gets messy, it is so cheap that I could buy several of them in different colors. I actually would rather have this wig in several different colors, than I would have it last slightly longer than it does, and have only one color.I actually bought this wig in this color when it was on sale for under $15. I would post a pic, but it looks *exactly* like the pics in the listing. It's big and ridiculously adorable.The only issue I had was that I couldn't tolerate the length of the bangs. Depending on how you wear your hair and what you're used to, this may not even be an issue for you. I have long hair, but I've never had bangs, so I had to trim them. I didn't remove them. I just couldn't have them swinging in front of my eyes.Note: Trimming a wig is difficult. I have a basic education in cosmetology and probably the minimum amount of experience necessary to be successful. With a pinch of good luck, it worked out fine. But if you have no experience cutting wig hair, specifically, this isn't the wig to start with. I only used one of the clips in it as that was more the look I was going for. Very soft and easy to tweak and style to get the look you are going for. I have a pretty small forehead with a widows peak, so would’ve had to cut the bangs if I was going to wear them straight down, but I wanted more a side swoop and it was perfect for that as is with a quick spritz of hairspray. The clips are heavy and pull the wig back, so you have to really secure it with traditional bobby pins criss crossed around the perimeter of the wig and then anchor it with a bunch of the straight style bobby pins throughout the rest of the cap. I did that and it stayed put all night no problem, but had I not used both types of bobby pins liberally it would have no doubt slipped back and significantly revealed my hairline.
