Of course I sunburned my face off 🙄 I immediately started looking for a sunshade. Alien by far had the most positive reviews and was also recommended in many Wrangler owners Facebook pages. I’m glad I bought this one. -pricing was fair -arrived quickly and in good packaging -It came with a neat little alien figurine that is now hanging out in the “duck pond” on my dash. It also came with a cute sticker! -It did come with instructions but I highly recommend downloading a barcode reader on your phone if you don’t have one and scan the QR code and watch the instructions. Much easier to follow! -It would be easier to install when your jeep is topless but it is doable with the top on. Install was relatively easy. I’m a 5’2 petite girl and was able to install by myself. It would be a lot easier if you’d hit the gym a couple times before install because those bungee cords are no joke! FOR THE LOVE OF GOD DO NOT INSTALL WITH YOUR FACE OVER IT. You WILL lose an eyeball if you lose your grip 🫣 So far I have only installed the front one and it does help with the amount of wind that blows directly on you. Even my kid who complains when the windows are down didn’t complain about the wind. Does a great job of shading from the sun. It is a little noisy and you can hardly hear anyone else talking in the vehicle (May or may not be a bad thing 😉) but if you’ve ever spent any time with the top completely off you’re used to that noise. Overall, 10/10 would recommend to other jeepers! Can’t wait to take the top completely off and install the back portion and enjoy topless season! It can be left on with the soft top installed, but you have to release a couple of bungees to get at the latches. No big deal. This top makes a big difference. Really cuts down on UV, cuts down on wind, and makes it a lot easier to talk at speed. We are very happy with it. **Q: Since they don't have black available...I was wondering, do these other colors (red specifically) block the sun or is it still bright inside?** A: I have the black one.....I got it because I thought the same that it would keep out more sun. It does block significantly...however Not as well as I had anticipated. There are gaps mostly towards the windshield and then in sound bar area. I can say the wind noise was dampened considerably and my whole body wasn’t in the sun (just where it gaps is in sun). So in the long scheme of things I don’t think the color will make any difference in shading. It can be installed without dropping windshield....only if you have really small fingers.....I did both ways...much easier and less scrapes on fingers to drop it! **Q: What speeds are safe to drive with theses on?** A: It's really tight so at any speed I'm guessing.. drove on the highway at 70mph with no issues.. just a bit of wind noise.. and if you're 6'3 or above, your head will touch the shade.. **Q: Is there or will there be an option for front AND rear? I prefer the look of two separate pieces as opposed to one full length piece** A: I went to their website and could buy the front one and the back one each seperate. ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great sunshade for my 2022 JL wrangler *by R***E on May 4, 2022* Temps are finally getting warmer so it’s obligatory to at least take the freedom panels out. Noticable change in temp in jeep, just sitting still after installation. Love this product. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Nice sun shades! *by S***H on September 13, 2026* Fits my 2023 Jeep wrangler 4 door great! No flapping, wish the plastic balls were a hard rubber instead, when they shift, makes clacking noise from rubbing against roll/sound bar from hitting bumps and stuff. Keeps sun off of me when the top is off! Great product other than the ball straps. ## Frequently Bought Together - Alien Sunshade Jeep Wrangler JLU (2018-2023) – Front & Rear Mesh Sun Shade for Jeep JL Unlimited - Blocks UV, Wind, Noise - Bikini JLkini Top Cover for Sport, Sport S, Sahara, Rubicon (Black) - Waterproof Car Cover for Jeep Wrangler 4 Door 2006-2025 JK JL Outdoor Waterproof Sun Rain Snow Hail Protection with Driver Door Zipper - JOYTUTUS Mirrors Doors Off Compatible with 2018-2023 Wrangler JL/JLU & Gladiator JT, JL Side Mirrors with Ball Adapter, Wider View No Vibrate & Wobble (NOT FIT 2024 2025 Wrangler & Gladiator JT) --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.us/products/87124872-jeep-wrangler-jlu-2018-2023-sun-shade-black-bikini-top](https://www.desertcart.us/products/87124872-jeep-wrangler-jlu-2018-2023-sun-shade-black-bikini-top) --- *Product available on Desertcart United States of America* *Store origin: US* *Last updated: 2026-10-04*
