The plug and the socket fit together very well and make a very secure connection. Both the plug and socket feature screw-down terminals and the plug features a weatherproof o-ring to keep dust and fluids out of the connection when the plug is plugged into the socket. The plug features a cable gland that seems to work for a wide range of cord diameters and the socket features a cover to keep dust and fluids off of the socket when the socket is not in use.
