Q: Can i cut clean through mdf? I dont want to engrave but cut out a shape completely.....will this machine work for this job?

Yes it will. The shape of your end mill will determine the depth of cut. 3mm diameter can cut thick MDF. My 2mm diameter end mill will do 7mm deep before the shank gets in the way.

Q: can it engrave pet tags

Yes. However, you may need to generate a suitable means of securing the tags other than the that are provided.

Q: Does this work well when engraving clear acrylic disks?

Sorry I have not tried acrylic on the machine but there are videos on youtube that do.

Q: can you use on finished Men's wallets that have been dyed

I'm not experienced with either but have you considered a laser engraver? They're much cheaper too and I'm sure someone on here will have some idea?
