A: It is approximately 4 1/2 inches high.

**Q: what material/metal is it?**
A: thin and bad hate it

A: Not sure if this answets your question but is about 9 1/2 wide on inside diameter of pot . measuring just from one side to the other.

**Q: It says on first use need to coat it with olive oil. Is this just to use it the first time. Or just coat it with olive oil then wash it with soap  ?**
A: I washed my T-Fal in warm soupy water. I did not put oil in the pans. My mother taught me you only do that with Cast Iron pans.

I was very pleased with these pots and pans when I received them. First off, I loved the color (blue). They are very well made, they serve their purpose, and very well worth the money. Anything I have put in them has heated up perfectly and if you use oil whenever needed, nothing ever sticks. So far I have not had any problem with scratches, but then I take very good care of them when storing them. I see these pots and pans lasting a very long time. I am so glad I purchased them.

I got this new set for holidays and simply love it!!! Has everything I need and I love T gal in blue color !!! This is replacement for 20 year old mismatched cookware and is so easy to cook in with perfect crispness in frying everything!!! Love, love, this set !!!!!
