Review: Rhuadgh loves it! - Ok, so it's a different doggie name, but my 8 month old dog puppy enjoys the food. It is convenient, the delivery is excellent, His coat is brilliant and shiny, I did try him on another brand (recommended by his breeder) but found he was becoming super hyper (a puppy has very sharp needle teeth which I've found out the hard and very painful way, the mother is probably very happy to be rid of them at 8 weeks) but he calmed down considerably when I changed to Royal Canin. I recommend this product to every Goldie puppy owner I meet (and that is about 8 or so on my local walk). My major quibble is that 12 KG it only lasts for 30 days at 400 g or 24 days at 500 g a day - not the 36 as advertised - yep, he's gonna be a big goldie like his Dad. So, I have to go to a shop to get another 4 kg or so every other month. How about 15 Kg packs? At 1 pack a month, it will balance out over the 15 months I would also like to question the price, just checked a US site and they are selling this exact same product for $47.99 = £29.13, not £44. Even with taxes, delivery and their markup, that does make a difference. Hey Guys, wake up! There is now a global market out there and somebody else is going to take advantage of it. On second thoughts, just forget what I've just written, I've just had an inspirational light bulb moment. LOL.. Review: Well worth the cost - My Golden puppy loves this! She’s healthy and fit, beautiful coat and took to this food well. Struggled with change over from breeder food as she picked this out of her bowl each time and left the previous food!! Clearly her preference is this one! Had to just switch without gradual change but actually she was fine with no tummy upsets or difficulties. Yes, this is far more expensive than other available food, but it’s worth every penny and it lasts a lot longer. ## Features - For Golden Retrievers under 15 months of age - Skin and coat defence - Targeted digestive safety - Osteo-articular support - Strong natural defences ## Technical Specifications | Specification | Value | |---------------|-------| | ASIN | B004OA8MOI | | Age Range Description | Puppy | | Age range (description) | Puppy | | Allergen Information | Allergen-Free | | Animal Food Diet Type | Raw | | Animal Food Ingredient Claim | Non-GMO | | Benefits | Supports skin barrier and maintains coat health | | Best Sellers Rank | 17,217 in Pet Supplies ( See Top 100 in Pet Supplies ) 584 in Dry Dog Food | | Brand | ROYAL CANIN | | Brand Name | ROYAL CANIN | | Breed Recommendation | Large Breeds | | Container Type | Bag | | Customer Reviews | 4.6 out of 5 stars 1,174 Reviews | | Dog Breed Size | Large | | Flavour | Poultry | | Global Trade Identification Number | 03182550751254, 03182559152250 | | Item Form | Dry | | Item Weight | 3000 Grams | | Item form | Dry | | Manufacturer | Su-Bridge Pet Supplies Ltd | | Manufacturer Part Number | 35577 | | Model Number | 02RCGRJ3 | | Number of Items | 1 | | Occasion | Birthday | | Package Size Name | 3 kg | | Pet Type | Dog | | Recommended Uses For Product | Healthy growth and development in young Golden Retrievers, skin and coat health, digestion, natural defenses | | Special Features | Oil-rich lining | | Special Ingredients | Borage Oil, Daytes Blossom Flour, Synergistic Antioxidant Complex, Mannan Ogliosaccaride | | Special ingredients | Borage Oil, Daytes Blossom Flour, Synergistic Antioxidant Complex, Mannan Ogliosaccaride | | Specific Uses For Product | Joints | | Specific uses for product | Joints | | Target Species | Dog | | Unit Count | 3000.0 gram | ## Product Details - **Age range (description):** Puppy - **Brand:** ROYAL CANIN - **Flavour:** Poultry - **Item form:** Dry - **Specific uses for product:** Joints ## Images ![Dog Food Golden Retriever Junior 29 Dry Mix 3kg - Image 1](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/41hCq-IRlML.jpg) ## Questions & Answers **Q: this sounds daft but is the kibble really small? my pup is struggling with current food being too small. thanks!** A: Hi, the kibble is larger than usual puppy/junior food and both my Goldies did really well on it. The adult Retriever kibble is much larger than other foods and they love it. I fed junior until 15 months as stated, although I did try Orijen large breed puppy but it seemed too rich for their tummies, so changed back to RC and no problems. Hope this helps. ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Rhuadgh loves it! *by M***S on 27 December 2013* Ok, so it's a different doggie name, but my 8 month old dog puppy enjoys the food.
