Product description VINTAGE HARVEST RECLAIMED LUMBER - FROM FARMS ALL OVER THE COUNTRY TO YOUR HOME OR BUSINESS VINTAGE HARVEST BARNWOOD - 100% RECLAIMED IN THE U.S.A. At Vintage Harvest, we are reclaiming what Mother Nature made. We find barns that no longer have a purpose, and we salvage their wood. Whether the barn is falling apart, too small, or cannot be used for any other reason, we save and repurpose the wood for an aesthetic use. If we did not use the wood, it would be burned, buried or added to a landfill. Our process is simple. We take the reclaimed wood apart by hand and de-nail on site. We then take the barn wood to a sawmill where it is kiln dried. This process kills all bugs that may be lingering on or inside the wood, making it safe for your home. After this, the milling process begins. We take 1-inch pieces of wood and cut them in half. We then plane the wood and rip it to 3”, 4” and 5” pieces, all with a 3/8“ thickness. A member of our team then hand selects the wood for a beautiful mixture of brown and grey pieces. The process we use for reclaiming barn wood is without a doubt the most efficient way to use lumber, while also providing maximum yield. Review: Gorgeous definitely reclaimed wood - This is definitely old reclaimed wood. It’s beautifully weathered, some has vertical sunfade marks where maybe a metal bar held it. Some have gorgeous knotholes and some have a lovely scorched tiger swirl. A few with saw marks. Lots of variety in texture. There are nail holes and bore holes (don’t worry insects are not an issue since all pieces are kiln fired). I couldn’t be happier with the amount of character the wood shows. It’s a nice variety of color and even the darker pieces are muted and peaceful looking. For reference, I bought 3 boxes and laid all out on the floor. Some of the boards were already cut, which will make our job easier and gives us more colors/variety. But you might want to reach out to supplier if you need all the same length. (One of our boxes had no cut boards so I assume that’s a possibility you could request). We literally just laid them out without any planning and it looks awesome after a 5 minute unboxing. I don’t think you could go wrong with making your project look amazing. I’m super excited to cover our accent wall and will add finished photos.

This is definitely old reclaimed wood. It’s beautifully weathered, some has vertical sunfade marks where maybe a metal bar held it. Some have gorgeous knotholes and some have a lovely scorched tiger swirl. A few with saw marks. Lots of variety in texture. There are nail holes and bore holes (don’t worry insects are not an issue since all pieces are kiln fired). I couldn’t be happier with the amount of character the wood shows. Don’t plan on making too many different staggers with the width of the board because you get way more boards with three and four than you do with five.

Can't believe I waited so long to order this and do my own DIY headboard! It was easy to follow the included instructions and use a brad nailer instead of sticky, adhesive backers that don't really stay put. I liked the three different sizes of barn wood planks because it made my project look more authentic and warm. Very happy to see old, reclaimed barn wood come to live in new, exciting projects. Will be buying more for my own kitchen backsplash, and adding a water sealer to ensure a proper install.
