Great for storage or jar lunches etc although the lids will need replacing at some point if using with liquids as they will eventually rust (they are designed for preserving so technically the inner seal part of the lid is designed to be replaced each time)The lids on these differ to Kilner and Ball jars in that rather than having a two part ring top with replaceable seal they have a one part screw on lid with a separate seal lid enclosed underneath to detach and use for preserving. I personally use it to prepare layer salad for lunch to take it with me to work, but it can be used for canning fruits or vegetables, storing dry ingredients such as beans, lentils, flours, or whatever you need it for.
