Review: I really like these paddles - I've recently gotten back into swimming and decided I need my own equipment. I saw a couple good reviews of these TYR Catalyst paddles (from Olympic athletes, among others) so I decided to give them a try. I am a big guy (6'2" and 210 lbs) and I wouldn't go any bigger than this for myself but maybe if you are looking for to do shorter power sets the really big paddles would probably be good for that. At first the Medium size felt too big but now that I've gotten stronger over a few months I have built up to doing 1000 yards pull set and I'm just tired at the end. If you are a smaller person or want to do speed sets you probably want the smaller sizes. I might buy another smaller set at some point for speed work but the Medium size is working great for me on the endurance sets right now.

A: hey, i recentley went for the medium sized paddle (red) and it's a think for most swimmers thats a good starting point, if you're not sure what paddle to choose.  The red paddle is about 21cm in length (top to bottom) and 19cm  in width if that helps.

I've recently gotten back into swimming and decided I need my own equipment.
