I did not read the description that it says blanket and not quilt, however it looks like a quilt . I would not call this a blanket either. It is 2 cotton sheets stitched together to make a heavy sheet. The top cloth is printed to look like a patchwork quilt. The underside is a solid teal color. There is not batting at all between the layers. It is very lightweight. There is decorative stitching to make it look like a quilt as well. It's beautiful but had I known how thin it was I would not have purchased it.I am keeping it because the colors are exactly what the picture shows and those are the colors I have been searching for. They are shades of teals, browns, and creams. It looks great but is it worth $70? In my opinion no but it does say handmade, so I don't know. I know my way around a sewing machine and this is an easy sewing project so I'm not impressed. It does appear to be well stitched though. All in all it is just average. Again, if I would have read and understood the description instead of going by the pictures I would not have purchased it.
