I am using mine for dry food storage. When I went to buy additional buckets at Lowe’s, I found I could get food grade buckets for $1 more than regular ones. I’m still glad I have these bags as I can close them tighter as I use my dry goods and keep extra air out. (As a side note, I found two part food grade lids at Lowe’s also. Outer ring snaps on with rubber seal, and rest of lid screws on easily with another seal. This keeps from having to try to get the outer ring on and off each time you want to access your food.) Even with these new buckets, I’m glad I purchased these liners. I like their suggestion of using them for a brine, especially for whole chickens or turkey. If I didn’t have a large crock I would have used them for making kraut.
