If you don't have a strong grip on the tool it will try to jump off the work piece and could cause damage or injury. Just be careful, pay attention to what you are doing and the tool will work well. Make sure the work piece is clamped in place so it doesn't move. If the material you are cutting is thick, use multiple cuts. A little at a time is good. Good luck.
