I wear them while running my farm tractor, mowing our field, logging, grading our driveway, and they reduce the noise so much you can have the radio volume low & hear it fine. They are much more comfortable than a pair I had from Home Depot & those went through a lot of triple A batteries 3 at a time. This unit takes 2 AA batteries. I had been carrying 2 AA's in my pocket, but after weeks of using them for hours each day 5 to 6 days a week, I put the extra batteries away. I'm still on the first 2 batteries I put in it, and bought this week's ago. The only negative is no blue tooth so if I'm working & get a call, I have to shut down the tractor & take the ear muffs off to talk, but the lack of blue tooth is probably greatly helping the battery life. Since I wear them to save my hearing, not talk on my phone, the comfort & battery life way out weigh the use of Bluetooth. If these ever die, I would definitely buy another pair.
