This patches are to put on top off the sensor, I wouldn’t recommend it. I bought them for my son and they are not very good, the plaster have round hole in the middle and the sensor is keep going through the hole so there is no much protection there at all. **Q: Can discover stay on for the whole two weeks ?** A: They are pretty good, some do stay on but some start to come off at points by 10 days in. I was using eyelash glue as well to hold it in place and that really worked but it affects my skin, which got very itchy and left a red circle for a long time after (weeks) so not using the glue anymore. I’ve not used this sticker at the moment (2 days in) but very worried about it coming off. I wish freestyle could make it so they stay on your skin the whole 2 weeks, it looks so much better if you don’t have to have the big plaster around it! I think the glue may work alone better but you see a messy residue around the cgm. **Q: Does this only stick to flesh around the sensor or does it stick to the sensor as well making it a challenge to remove without pulling the sensor off?** A: The product sticks to the SKIN and the edges of the sensor, making it more secure. Since I started uaing it, I have had no mishaps regarding the sensor becoming accidentaly dislodged. When the sensor has expired, it is easily peeled off ! **Q: Can this be removed without also removing the sensor?** A: Yes as long as you are careful as the patch sits around the sensor not over it. I also use a product called Skin Prep which is used in hospitals to help dressings stick. It helps the patch and your sensor stay put but don't put it where you are going to put the sensor "needle" as it might affect the reading of your sensor. I apply it like a polo mint leaving a small area in the middle with no prep where the sensor needle goes. There's a video on U Tube which shows you how to use the prep and apply the patch for best results. It suggests using a teaspoon handle to ensure the patch sits tight around the sensor edge. I had to get used to applying the patches but now I get them to sit smoothly around my sensor and I can swim, exercise, shower etc and neither my patch or sensor moves. If you need to change the patch hold the sensor down firmly when you peel the patch off from around it. I would recommend these patches. They peel off as soon as you have a shower. They offer ZERO protection for your sensor. It is impossible to apply them yourself and the libre lifts off through the whole unfortunately. HOWEVER.. if you cut them into 4 you can tape the libre either side and it is really effective!
