the only place i could find actinovate NOT past it's expiration date
this is the only seller at any store or website or on amazon itself that had 6 months left until it's expiration date, yay! actinovate works very well when dissolved but since it has been acquired by monsanto, they have made it so that the bacterial particles that only constitute 0.037% (they are the occasional black grain in the powder, the rest of the grains are lactose) of the contents will not dissolve on their own in water. What I do is; I put one ounce of actinovate in 5 gallons of reverse osmosis water to keep the chlorine in tap water from inhibiting or killing the streptomyces bacteria, i keep the water at 75 degrees F with a fish tank heater and use a small water pump in the 5 gallon bucket, to stir the water and provide oxygen for the bacteria coming out of stasis. In about 6 hours the bacterial particles are dissolved and ready to be applied to reverse root rot.

Great stuff, works best as a preventative.
This stuff really does work well. You can find a number of studies on the bacteria that is this product. It is considered curative for powdery mildew, one of few OMRI products that can actually cure a disease rather than just supress a disease. I think it works best as a preventative to keep PM dow. before it has time to start.

your answer to blight
I have found this the only product that works for me... and is biological so I feel better applying. They used to have a smaller size for the homeowner garden.. wish I could find that again.

Product expires in less than 3 months
Very disappointed; I was sent a product that will expire in less than 3 months. For close to $100 I expected something that hasn’t been sitting in the warehouse for 9 months.
