It's heavy neoprene, slightly stiffened at the sides, and provides some general support, as well as warmth, to the joint. Its primary advantage may be that it wearing it reminds the user not to do anything stupid to further damage the knee joint.I received it at no cost for evaluation and review purposes, and as someone with a history of knee problems (three surgeries), I am a pretty good person to review this knee support!Recommended, with the caveat that it is NOT a knee brace-- if you need a knee brace, you should be evaluated by an orthopedic and have seen a physical therapist! ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great knee brace *by A***E on September 22, 2017* Great knee brace. I do not have major knee issues but if I'm running more than 10 miles I need to wear a brace or my right knee will act up.
