The first one I ordered stopped working after a day. Having Prime, I sent it back free of charge and replaced it with another. The replacement has worked perfectly for over a year. To do some additional video recording at 2 different locations, I recently ordered 2 more. One of the 2 were bad... sent it back to Amazon, got a replacement that works fine. While you may get a bad one... the trouble in sending it back for a replacement is worth it. 1920 x 1280 resolution easy; and an easy to see green/red light indicating the status of standby or record. Captured audio is recorded a little low, so while I'm processing the captured video, I set the software to normalize the audio level. When recording longer video, the device breaks what's captured into 2 Gb sized files. The included software enables the split files to be joined, trimmed, etc. This is a basic unit that gets the job done and is very easy to use. I ordered a similar device a year ago and sent it back because it had too many bells and whistles on it... making it difficult to understand/use and really unnecessary, as everything it could do could be done better using video editing software.
