Review: First-time Seed Germinator Enjoying Success - I want to provide useful information on this germination light and setup that might not be consolidated in another review. A lot of people have provided great feedback elsewhere, but here's what I have done by collecting information from various sites and reviews. First, the light: It's quite small but the perfect size for my three germination trays of 1" sq. sub-containers. One light provides sufficient coverage for my 36 planters. It is suspended 23 inches above the germinating soil surface. After just two days of running the light 24/77, all of my greens (kale, chard, etc.) have germinated and around 1--1.5" in height. Even my snow peas and yellow bulb onions are breaking through after three days. This is my first time germinating seeds indoors with a grow light, but it seems pretty darn quick to get this result so fast. Others with more experience may disagree. Here's is something else to keep in mind, and I sense that these are important factors. First, I have the trays sitting on a warming pad made for this purpose of germination. It raises the soil temperature by 10-20°F. Secondly, you can see from the photo that the trays have a top transparent cover that lets the light rays through but retards the loss of of water vapor. The tray system is built to wick water from the deep tray the growing trays sit in where there is sufficient water (about 1.5" of water) to wick some into the germinating soil (not really soil but mainly peat and vermiculite) above and creating an environment that is humid, as is indicated by the water drops condensing on the inside of the clear tray covers. I think all of these factors play a role in creating the most ideal conditions for seed germination. The thing I can think to adjust and change is to shorten the distance between the light and soil surface. So, I will position the second light closer, about 12" above the germination trays, just to see if there is any difference in the germinating process. These lights are ridiculously inexpensive when you think of the advanced technology they employ both in terms of the low-consumption LEDs and in the different light wavelengths that provide for different growth factors. Cool science (botany or agronomy) and advantageous technology. They are easy to set up, will be under warranty for 3 years because I have registered the purchase with the company, appear well-made despite how unbelievably light they are in weight, and so inexpensive compared to other lights. If you're only going to have 70 or so plants to sprout for an initial planting in a small veggie garden, I think this setup and this light will provide the best bang for the buck, not to mention lots of satisfaction and success. I have already shown it to one very experienced gardener friend and now he's interested in this light and tray setup. For the money, the area required, and the results, he's impressed. Follow up: A few days after writing this review, I decided to drop the light 5" lower to the seedlings and provide more intense light. The seedlings seemed a little spindly, so rather than have their energy directed to reaching for the light, I lowered the light to 17" from the seed tray surface in the hopes that the seedlings will use their energy to grow their true leaves.
Review: Great size! - Works great, fits nicely in the area I needed it for.

## Questions & Answers

**Q: Will this be large enough for a 27.25"×19" greenhouse?**
A: No, I don't think so. I found that from a distance of 12" the light from 1 light fixture for each 10" x 20" seedling
tray was inadequate resulting in significant "plant streching" that led to each seedling toppling over. I plan on
using 2 fixtures for each 10" x 20" tray next season basically providing a 1 to 1 coverage at 12 inches.

**Q: My micro greens looks happily under the panel light, but some of light bulbs in the middle are particularly dim,is the panel broken?**
A: Thank you for your question, our LED grow lights are working properly, and our product descriptions and product images are mentioned:【NOTE :The UV and IR LEDs are particularly DIM,but it is normal. You can look at the 4th picture where shows the details 】
If you have any questions, please contact us by email.

**Q: How is it installed?**
A: I just hung mine from a ceiling hook and plugged it in. It seems to work great! Hopefully it will keep my piraidenplants alive all winter in the basement :)

**Q: is it water or humidity proof?**
A: Since my gro light hangs about a foot above the plants I don’t see whee water would come in contact with the lite. As for humidity, the amount in my plants and saucers doesn’t pose a problem. The light has promoted leaf growth in my scented geraniums . Now I’m hoping for flowers. The light has been on for 14 hours a day all week for about a month so far.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great size!
*by D***A on April 12, 2026*

Works great, fits nicely in the area I needed it for.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Small but powerful
*by M***. on September 1, 2020*

I recently created a bioactive enclosure for my pet snake, essentially putting live plants in his cage. The cage isn’t situated in a very sunlit area, so I knew I would have to buy a grow light to keep them alive. I tested it with some fast growing herbs, and as the day passed the plants shifted towards the light, so I know it works for their needs. For positives, it seems to work well, plants seem to like it. It doesn’t get hot, LEDs are pretty efficient and don’t overheat like normal bulbs. The only negatives I can think of is there is no on or off switch, once it is plugged in, it’s always on until you unplug it. I would have liked at least a power switch, and at most a remote that could turn lights on or off. But for a low price, power switch would be nice. Only other thing I don’t like is that the light is super bright, my entire room is filled with pink light. Since it’s my bedroom I have to unplug it during the night, but if you have a dedicated grow room there’s no reason you couldn’t keep it on 24 hours. It’s also very small, which is good for my situation but probably not the best for an entire room dedicated to growing plants. It seems to work though, I’m not a plant expert but I would recommend it for a hobbyist.
