Still working, so 4 winters crossed. I live in TamilNadu, and the usage is only for 2 to 4 months, like November to Jan. Apart from these times of the year it is nearly wrapped and kept aside. The auto cut-off works based on the thermostat setting. And it is pretty good. I usually pair it up with a smart plug to switch this on only for around 5 minutes every half an hour and the thermostat is set to the lowest. And only from 10 PM to 5 AM. This way it does not consume a lot of electricity. Even at these settings it consumes more than 1 unit per day. If it was used without the smart plug, it would easily consume around 3 units or more, even with the auto cut-off. Probably a little costlier than other base models. But I believe it is worth the price.
