A: You are right; the picture is misleading.  The price is for one battery only and the battery has smaller terminals than a standard "D" cell.

**Q: Is this actually a battery?  (A battery is technically a group of cells).  Or is it a cell?  For example, a 9 Volt battery may be 6 x 1.5V cells**
