Blended to give a delicately balanced brew, it’s a tea for those who enjoy the finer things in life. Our Tea Masters balance Ceylon, Kenyan and Assam teas for this blend. They use plenty of high-grown Ceylon, sourced from the country’s central hills. This is where Sri Lanka's finest tea gardens are found. It gives the blend its brisk, lively quality, which we enhance with a touch of our signature citrusy bergamot flavouring. Subtle yet distinctive, Ahmad Tea’s English Tea No.1 is a delightfully uplifting brew. Try it with a slice of lemon to highlight the tea’s crisp bergamot notes, or serve it strong with a splash of milk to bring out the deeper Assam richness. I like Earl Grey but I think it's a bit too strong and overpowering but I absolutely love the English No 1 tea. It's just so much more refreshing than regular tea - the delicate taste of bergamot, it's perfect. Another brand used to make a 'Breakfast' tea and it had a very subtle taste of bergamot in it but they changed their ingredients and it no longer has the subtle Earl Grey (bergamot) flavour....so that's why I started looking for an alternative..

I'm very fussy when it comes to tea but I love this! I like Earl Grey but I think it's a bit too strong and overpowering but I absolutely love the English No 1 tea. It's just so much more refreshing than regular tea - the delicate taste of bergamot, it's perfect. Another brand used to make a 'Breakfast' tea and it had a very subtle taste of bergamot in it but they changed their ingredients and it no longer has the subtle Earl Grey (bergamot) flavour....so that's why I started looking for an alternative..
