Review: Great dexterity training for tots - We purchased this for our autistic three year old to use in his sensory bean bin. It has become one of his favorite toys and is excellent practice for dexterity and problem solving. The yellow piece specifically was an interesting tool. You push the handles to open the cups. It took him a bit to figure out how it worked, but he was interested enough to focus on the task. The scissors portion of the pack has done well on teaching him hand placement although I think it would not have worked as well if he was left handed. The tweezers were quickly lost as they didn't work well with the beans we were using it for, but they did work well with picking up paper. The eye dropper is probably his favorite out of the lot. It goes in the tub with him, when he washes his hands, and when he's at his water table. It does not seal, so the water drips out the tip after its sucked in, so there is no walking about with water in it, but there were no issues with the bulb portion. These were all very durable plastic and have held up to months of usage. The colors are bright and interesting. It has made a great addition to our therapy training.
Review: Fun and engaging fine motor skills - I have a very active 26-month-old who usually doesn’t enjoy detailed activities for more than 15 minutes. To my surprise, he absolutely loved playing with all four items! We used the scissors/scoopers to pick up items from water, and used the other tools to transfer pom-poms from one container to another. He stayed engaged for over an hour and still wanted to keep playing. These activities were a great way to keep him busy while also helping him practice fine motor skills. I’m very impressed with this set and highly recommend it!

## Questions & Answers

**Q: are these ok for left handers?**
A: They're really not good for either.  Cheap!  I have a son that is left handed.  Get a hole puncher, turkey baster, play doh, bacon thongs, left handed scissors, etc...there are lots of things you can use that are a bit stronger and will work to strengthen children's motor skills. These items are cheap, flimsy and ended up frustrating my granddaughter after a few minutes.  Go to a School Box store or ask a Pre-K teacher to see what they could recommend.

**Q: What is there to do with these??**
A: You can use them to have your child pick up and sort (by color or size) craft Pom poms, beads, etc. The suction tool can be used to transfer water from one bowl to another to teach how suction works. The scoopers help them with muscles needed to use scissors and the yellow squeeze tool and tweezers help develop the pincher grasp for using a pencil. Little ones love these and they are great for motor skills! I would buy them again.

**Q: Is this appropriate for a 2 year old?**
A: Yes!!! I have 2.5 year old twins who played with them all morning. One twin used 3 toys, the other could only use 2 of them. My almost 4 year old loved them, too.
