This is a nice chunk of amethyst rock crystal with space for a tea light. I am giving this as a gift and I'm pleased with the appearance. I expect natural variation in the stone and I anticipated a rough cut as that is what is advertised. I have seen much more expensive amethyst votives which are more uniform in color and cut but that is what you pay for. I prefer a more natural appearance for an everyday votive. However, the rock I received didn't look like the picture as much as I'd hope even with the understanding each rock is different. The rock I received was more brute and mostly white on the sides. The purple was extremely faint and the tea light set far down into the rock where it was hard to tell it was even there.
