Or do you still need a mixer?** A: Yes I think so, but note that the output is one XLR for the left channel and one XLR for the right. If your PA needs a mono input then the Mackie MDB mono DI box might be better along with a stereo to mono converting jack plug at the input. That works well for me. **Q: Would this work to silence a condenser microphone?** A: All models apart from MDB-USB have a PAD switch, which drops the signal by -15db or -20db depending on model. The Peavey box seriously lacks output, so much so it is unacceptable. The Radial has incredible fidelity and output. The Mackie is very close to the Radial in every respect. If you're using it at home to integrate active studio monitors to your computer, it's perfect.
