A 1oz bottle in a single base coat can cover a good amount of surface area, however it may wear off in time. Applying multiple coats as well as using an acrylic finisher can help extend the durability of the paint. The best bet is to try out 1 bottle on your project and see if it is enough. The leather itself was still in excellent condition, so I decided to try Angelus Flat White Leather Paint instead of replacing the shoes. After cleaning and prepping the leather, I applied three very thin coats. The paint covered beautifully, dried quickly, and, most importantly, didn’t fill in or hide the natural leather grain. The finish looks smooth, even, and factory-like rather than thick or painted. I was also impressed that it was easy to paint around the pyramid studs without making a mess, and the color blended seamlessly across all the leather panels. The transformation speaks for itself. These shoes genuinely look almost new again, and I saved myself from having to replace an expensive pair of sandals. If you’re restoring white leather shoes, handbags, or accessories, I would absolutely recommend Angelus Leather Paint. Just take your time, apply several thin coats instead of one thick coat, and the results are worth every minute.
