I do question the need for assembling the tray part that your keyboard sits on. This was the most time consuming part of assembly and I think it could have been built in one piece. Other reviews emphasize the need to check for and measure under the desk for any obstructions that might prevent attaching the tray to the desk and for tray moving distance. Also measure the thickness of the edge of the desk that the clamps go on to. I think, but am not sure, that the maximum thickness is 1.75" s. Both of these suggestions are good ideas. You will end up with a few extra screws when you are done. NOTE: Look for the L and R marked on clamps and track rails. Also, during assembly, you can choose between two options for how far the tray extends from under the desk. Once the tray is assembled attaching it to my desk was easy. Soft plastic pads prevent the clamps from marring the desk top. It is sturdy BUT you should not lean on it. It seems to be good value for the price and should fit just about any desk. My mouse pad has all the space beside the keyboard that it needs. I feel that it looks good, seems to be of good quality, and works as advertised. Review: Sturdy, spacious, and completely transforms desk ergonomics! - Setting up this keyboard tray was straightforward and took less than 10 minutes with no drilling required. The C-clamps clamp securely onto the desk without wobbling or shifting during heavy typing sessions, and the protective padding prevents any scratches on the desk surface. At 27 x 11 inches, the platform is plenty spacious—it easily fits a full-sized keyboard with a wrist rest along with a large mousepad, leaving ample room for smooth mouse movement. The slide-out rails glide smoothly in and out without catching or rattling. Having the keyboard lowered to a natural typing angle has noticeably reduced shoulder and wrist strain while freeing up a ton of desktop space. Excellent build quality and well worth the upgrade! ## Features - Saves Desk Space: This 26.8” (32.5" including clamps) x 11” under-desk keyboard tray holds your keyboard, mouse, and other small accessories below the desktop for added work space --Patent Pending-- - Comfortable Typing Angles: Easily slide the tray in and out and enjoy ergonomic typing angles that relieve stress on your wrists and shoulders. The tray extends a maximum of 8.5” from the edge of your desk and holds up to 11 lbs - Compatibility: Before purchasing, please make sure that your desk surface does not exceed a thickness of 1.25". Note the tray's total length from clamp to clamp is 32.5", so please make sure you have that much space on your desk before purchasing - Sturdy C-Clamps: Attach the keyboard tray to your workstation without causing any damage to your desk (1.25” maximum desktop thickness) with sturdy C-clamps that hold everything tightly in place and are easily adjustable for user convenience - Easy Installation: All hardware and instructions are provided for assembly, and mounting your keyboard tray to the desk is an easy process with the adjustable clamps. If I rest my hands on it or pushes it bit down, would it be stable and not wobbly?** A: I had the same worry, but it's a heavy duty product. Very well made and very stable. I rest my hands on it and type (fast and a lot) with no issues. It glides smoothly under my desk and is wide enough for my giant ergnomic keyboard, mouse, and mousepad (with a tiny bit of room to spare). I am very pleased with it and would buy it again. **Q: does the tray lock in position?** A: no, the tray slides in and out. Push in when not in use and slide out when needed. It stays in place nicely and does not move when you slide it to your desired position. **Q: What is the minimum distance required under the desk for the screw-part of the clamp? I have a maximum of 1-3/4 inches before a piece of wood.** A: Not sure about your question, but my desk edge thickness is 1.5", and the bracket with the screw clamp extends 3.5" below the bottom of the desk edge. **Q: Will this be able to be mounted at an angle for a corner desk?** A: Hello, Thank you for your interest! No, this mount is only recommended to be used on a straight edge desk. Please let us know if you have any further questions. We are always happy to help. Excellent build quality and well worth the upgrade! ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Minor fixes made this perfect for my use. *by I***K on November 24, 2025* This is a nice keyboard tray. There is a known issue of the tray walking away from you as you type. My fix was to purchase a Barrel Bolt Latch and mount it on each side to keep the tray from doing that. The extended pin prevents it from walking. Had this come with something like that, they'd have gotten five stars. The width accommodates my keyboard and my rollerball mouse, along with a wrist rest for each. My desk is a lesser cost up/down desk so I needed to take into consideration the measurement of the space allotment under the desk so it didn't interfere with the up/down drive pin. This works and I can move the keyboard at a whim, not locking me into a specific position at the desk. Value for the money I think is very fair. Drill accuracy was good, very easy to assemble. The ease of use is great. Put a lock mechanism into play on this and you have a great tray. I am very well pleased with this set-up. I don't need the tray to tip forward as the pad I have it on does this. I adjust the height of the desk for ccommodating my wrist/hand tilt. Ergonomic perfection? Nop[e. But it works for me. ## Frequently Bought Together - VIVO Large Keyboard Tray Under Desk Pull Out with Extra Sturdy C Clamp Mount System, 27 (33 Including Clamps) x 11 Inch Slide-Out Platform Computer Drawer for Typing, Black, MOUNT-KB05E - HUANUO Dual Monitor Stand - Full Adjustable Monitor Desk Mount Swivel Vesa Bracket with C Clamp, Grommet Mounting Base for 13 to 32 Inch Computer Screens - Each Arm Holds 4.4 to 19.8lbs - Desk Clamp Power Strip USB C,40W Total Fast Charging Station,4 PD 20W USB C Ports,Desk Edge Mount Power Strip 6 USB Ports 5 AC Outlets Surge Protector,Fit 1.96" Tabletop Edge,ETL Listed --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.us/products/82013652-mount-kb05e](https://www.desertcart.us/products/82013652-mount-kb05e) --- *Product available on Desertcart United States of America* *Store origin: US* *Last updated: 2026-10-25*
