    Good but Caution

*by D***J on Reviewed in the United States on October 23, 2018*

Was looking for pasta and high carb substitute. Thought i would try these Black bean noodles. The Good: They are actually a decent substitute. Good texture(better than other pasta substitutes like low carb chinese noodles). They will take on the flavor of what ever you cook, like marinara. A bit dense and not as velvety soft like real pasta.Reminds me of whole wheat pasta.Cons: Big issue we had in our house was GAS. Eat too much and you may have unpleasant flatulence. lots and lots of Flatulence!! Maybe its the black beans, maybe we ate the entire bag and it was too much. Perhaps we needed to take beano first. All I'm saying is eat a bit, see how you digest it and use some caution. first time out.

Credit Where MORE Credit is Due; An Unsung Amazing Keto Substitute for Noodles!

*by M***A on Reviewed in the United States on February 27, 2019*

Purpose: I am a recent keto diet convert, but after a week of strict Keto dieting, I realized that I simply could not go without finding a keto appropriate answer for noodles. I needed my spaghetti and noodle Asian stir fry! I tried looking for options that would be suitable for my diet but, unfortunately the shirataki noodles I'd heard of had many foul reviews concerning quality control, the liquid they rested in, and the smell that accompanied them, so I moved on and thankfully found these beauties!Concerning other Reviews: I was still scared because most noodle imitations for keto dieting all seemed pretty dodgy but, I bit the bullet and trusted that these would deliver because all the other bad reviews for this product were only because people just didn't like the taste or it just wasn't for them. No one seemed to have a problem with quality control centered around initially receiving the product and that gave me the hope I was looking for.The Need-to-Know: These noodles are a little over half the size of regular spaghetti noodles, however this makes them rather easy to cook in a smaller pan than you normally would regular spaghetti; their size also makes them easier to weigh out on a scale. I chanced a sniff into the bag and noticed that they have a faint smell, but it wasn't an offensive one. Now, I wholeheartedly embrace the instructions, so long as you follow them exactly, you will have no problem with cooking these noodles; just be warned that these noodles cook about two to four times faster than regular noodles, which is honestly a perk since it saves time as long as you watch them carefully. Like all noodles, you have to take one out of the pan occasionally to check yourself if they are soft enough to your liking and to also make sure that they are not overcooking, which is definitely a concern because these noodles, again, cook really fast. After cooking them, I smelled them again and they still had the same smell from earlier but, it was still faint and not at all overpowering or offensive. Anyway, after cooking them in water with some salt and oil, they lived up as a solid imitation of regular spaghetti because they took on these flavors so well just like how regular spaghetti would, heck I could have eaten them plain right then and there! But I had a dish to make, so then I deposited my marinara sauce, meat, and garnished with some Parmesan cheese to make be best keto dinner I've had so far because, it tasted exactly like how the dish would have been, before I changed all my ingredients to suit my keto diet! The texture I of the noodles is a little chewier compared to regular spaghetti but this is also because of their high fiber content, which is what makes these noodles keto. After eating them, I experienced no aftertaste whatsoever, which is another plus. I can say that they are a little more on the Carby side for a keto food, despite their large fiber content, so they aren't as filling as I'd like, but that's how it usually is when you are portioning regular spaghetti for a regular diet too; perhaps in that respect, they imitate regular spaghetti a little too well, haha! Conclusion: The soybean noodles are an amazing keto friendly substitute to other more questionable keto noodles AND regular noodles; they are a solid imitation of regular spaghetti, taking on flavors just as easily as normal spaghetti would while also not smelling or leaving any aftertaste. They are good because they still provide calories, fiber, and nutrients while remaining keto friendly at the same time. I especially recommend these when compared to other dubious noodle substitutes for anyone on a keto diet, like myself. Follow the instructions carefully, and you will be quickly rewarded!

    Delicious, almost like pasta!

*by I***N on Reviewed in the United States on October 11, 2018*

The consistency is not like pasta, really. It is a little grainy, but it's NOT slimey like zoodles. They don't taste much different than regular pasta, and I absolutely Love this product and will be ordering more. Right now, I only had the mung bean noodles, but I will update as soon as I have had the others. P.S. I am keto, and the thing I missed most was pasta and meatballs! I can have them again!
