The package says they are for indoor plants, but I actually use them for all of my outdoor plants, especially my herbs. I first tried these after planting some basil and other herbs that seemed to be taking an eternity to grow. I went to a local home improvement store and searched the garden center for plant food but many of them were priced much higher than I was willing to spend until I found these spikes. I figured I'd give them a try since they were so inexpensive and wow!!!!! Within just a few days, my plants had grown more than double what they had grown in the previous several weeks!! One of my friends (who also enjoys gardening) came over to my house and was in awe of how big and healthy all of my herbs were. When I told her about these spikes, she went straight from my house to purchase some and had the exact same growth results. I now keep at least one extra pack of these on hand stored in a ziplock bag to protect from any water/weather damage, and I add new spikes about once every 6-8wks to my plants. I now use these "plant steroid sticks" (as my boyfriends refers to them as) in all of my plants -- they worked great in my tomato plants this summer, too! **Q: How accurate is the two month Claim? Does it mean 2 month for the entire pack? or 2 month for each sitck?**
A: It's 2 months each spike. Here's some dos and don'ts.. DO NOT push the spikes directly into the roots of the plant, instead circle around the planter.. ie. in a 10 inch pot I use 3 spikes spaced the same distance from each other about a 1/2 inch from the side of the pot. Push the spikes down about an inch into the soil and water. I have never used a Miracle - Gro product I didn't like. Hope this helps....

**Q: Would it be ok to use these with succulents?**
A: Most succulents are not heavy feeders. I rarely, if ever, fertilize them. When I do, it's only in the spring when they flower and start putting on the most growth and I use a water soluble fertilizer at half strength, at most.

**Q: Has anyone used these for ferns or spider plants?**
A: I am currently using them for 3 spider plant pots I have. They are growing so fast and 2 of them are flowering.

**Q: My year old rhodendrons and forester grass plants outside are not growing well, can i use these outside?**
A: Miracle Grow makes a specific plant food for Rhododendrons & it works great!!!

I swear by these plant food spikes!!! The package says they are for indoor plants, but I actually use them for all of my outdoor plants, especially my herbs.
