Using these to make ricotta cheese, chevre and quark you do not need to line them with cheesecloth. If you are going to make a pressed cheese and add some weight to the top like a square feta cheese mould then yes it is a good idea to line them with cheesecloth. **Q: Hi, can these go in a dehydrator?** A: Thanks for your question. They are dishwasher safe so they can withstand hot water. It would depend on your dehydrator temperature. They should be fine with gentle drying heat but not cooking temperatures. You need our pack of 3 molds specifically for blue and hard cheeses - they are made of firmer material that can take weights and would be better for making vegan hard cheeses. There are two small molds and one large in the pack. We use the small ones for making vegan cashew blue cheeses and the large one we use for dairy cheddar and Gouda.
