If you will use fresh pillow, then it will stick to ears of your child perfectly. Just cover ear canals - don't press the pillow into "pin" shape (there is no need, when you use fresh one). These are my favorite earplugs by far!! I have tried the foam ones, the adjustable nipple kind, and several others and none fit as well or block out the noise as well as these wax hear plugs. I just roll them into a ball in my hand, then press them into my ear area and get instant quiet! No pressure or weird feeling, and super comfortable for a side sleeper especially.
