(Updated) *by S***E on March 13, 2024* I bought this to bring to a conference so that I can save money by cooking in my hotel room. I tested it out by seeing how fast it boils water. I started with 1quart of the hottest possible water from the faucet at 130 degrees. It reached a rolling boil in about 7 minutes, which I'm pretty happy with. It was cool to the touch after 15 minutes and completely cool at about 20 minutes after turning off the burner. I'm excited to bring this on my trip. I think it'll work great to make simple things and I'll update my review once I've returned. Update 3/29: I loved having meals in my hotel room. I cooked on it at least a half dozen times and I'm excited to bring it on future trips. The only hint of a negative is that it cleaning under the burner is challenging (I had a pot boil over a little bit).
