I needed to replace some napkins that had gotten soft enough not to need ironing but were frayed and getting holes from bleaching.Polyester makes napkins worthless, in my opinion, so I wanted 100% cotton. These are ideal. Smoothed out and folded while still warm from the dryer, they are fine for family supper. A quick steam iron would make them dressy enough for company, too, although they have plain hemsβ€”no fancy hemstitiching. My way of working around this is to dry them, then wet them down with a mister and smooth them flat with my hands and let them dry. I bought three dozen, so this is a bit of a project.
