Review: A large transfer sling for elderly and disabled - This is a large transfer sling for the elderly and disabled. It’s an excellent quality sling and comes slightly padded but with easy to hold handles. I wanted this for transfer of legs but to be honest it’s too large for that as it mars the handles too high to be practical. If you wanted this to help stand someone up or sit them forward it would be better used. I’d say it’s useful for small and medium sized people too but not for very large. I think the price is about right for what you get and its functionality overall. I love the colours of this too it’s very modern and not at all boring.
Review: Es muy resistente, bien construido, pero ojo al usar con personas gruesas - Esta eslinga de transferencia se ve muy resistente, buen material, bien cosida y acolchada, y de fácil uso, aunque a mí no me ha funcionado con mi padre, pues está demasiado grueso y le fallan demasiado las piernas, y debido a su demencia se asusta fácilmente cuando hacemos algo que aún desconoce y no comprende. El problema principal es que, al estar tan grueso, e intentarlo yo solo, y al fallarle las piernas de apoyo, la silla se ha movido demasiado, pues sus frenos no son demasiado estables (no lo sabía, la verdad) y ha entrado en pánico y ha vuelto a sentarse y he desistido de volverlo a probar para evitar cualquier accidente. Dispone de tres asas resistentes en cada extremo, permitiendo jugar con ellas para encontrar la mejor forma de usarlas en cada situación. Yo empecé por la más exterior, pero me pareció que le podría hacer daño, y terminé usando la más interior y me funcionó bastante mejor hasta el fallo de la silla. También decir que, al ser tan ancha en su parte central, ofrece un soporte mucho mayor en la espalda, y me ha dicho que no le ha dolido nada al probarla, o sea, no parece que le pueda lesionar al usarla. Y si bien la eslinga es bastante grande, mi padre aún lo es más, y al rodearlo con la eslinga, las asas más interiores han aparecido bien justas a los lados, pero por poco no consiguen rodearlo bien. Para que podáis hacer cálculos, os comento que pesa unos 120 kilos y actualmente mide unos 175 centímetros de altura. Os recomiendo que en situaciones similares con una persona gruesa lo probéis igualmente, pero con dos o tres personas, hasta que cojáis el método ideal para vuestro caso y así tengáis más confianza en hacerlo de forma individual. Hoy he visto cómo lo hacen en la residencia con una anciana de mucho menos peso, y dos cuidadoras la han cogido por las axilas y la han levantado, pero me ha parecido que también era bastante inestable, pues se movía mucho, y tampoco es la mejor forma para mi padre, pues creo que para él usan una grúa, y quizás nunca pueda usar este tipo de artículos con él (ya llevo dos probados). De todos modos le otorgo la máxima puntuación, pues ya tenía otra eslinga que era mucho menos ancha que esta y le causó cierto dolor, y no llegamos ni por asomo tan lejos como con esta, pues no consiguió ni incorporarse ni un centímetro. Con esta al menos casi lo conseguimos, si no hubiera sido por el movimiento en falso de la silla, que a pesar de estar frenada, se movió ligeramente. Va a ser difícil que lo pueda probar con dos personas, pues raramente coincido con otros familiares cuando lo visito en su residencia, pero estoy convencido de que podría funcionar. Es de esos productos que, por un precio razonable (unos 30 euros a día de hoy), pueden ayudar mucho a no dejarse la espina dorsal intentando levantarlo a peso, ya sea por las axilas o como sea. Por lo tanto, os recomiendo darle una oportunidad, y si sois dos las primeras veces que lo probéis, mejor, pues habrá que adquirir cierta técnica antes de aventuraros a hacerlo solos.

This is a large transfer sling for the elderly and disabled. It’s an excellent quality sling and comes slightly padded but with easy to hold handles.
